Search Engine Marketing Specialist
OVERVIEW
The Search Engine Marketing Specialist will drive the strong performance of paid and organic search programs, facilitating the achievement of campaign and business objectives for our clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Search Marketing Campaigns
- Participate in the development of search engine marketing (SEM) media plans and media plan proposals for clients showcasing KPIs to determine success for B2C, B2B, CPG brands.
- Research and recommend search improvement options for media programs, including Shopping, Ad Extensions, Bidding etc.
- Gather and develop campaign elements for set-up (ad text, tracking, keywords, etc)
- Develop text ads as required
- Deploy/upload/traffic the campaigns
- Engage with partner firms (e.g. Google)
- Monitor campaign performance on a daily basis
- Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve the performance of campaigns (including bid adjustments, ad text changes, keyword adjustments)
- Ensure the consistent and proper evolution of the search marketing service offer and implementation of best practices
Search Engine Optimization
- Develop recommendations to clients for improvements to their organic search rankings
- Implement and/or review the implementation of recommendations
- Work with the internal team on SEO best practices
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Pull required data for campaign and project reports, including metrics such as Impression Share, CPC, CTR, CPA, ROI.
- Develop ongoing reporting of campaign performance
- Provide insights into and recommended action items based on campaign performance
- Participate in the development of best practice guidelines for related service offers
Innovation
- Propose innovative service offerings within the realm of paid and organic search
- Propose innovative optimization strategies for client campaigns
- Identify tools to facilitate optimization measures
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Experience
- University degree or college diploma in a related field
- 1 year experience specifically in a search marketing role
Skills
- Knowledge of Google Ads (must be Google Ads certified)
- Knowledge of Analytics tools (specifically Google Analytics), including setting up of UTM tagging, dashboards and data extraction for reporting
- Knowledge of SA360
- Knowledge of Google Data Studio
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Creative and innovative in approach
